Mr. Jeinis Patel graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction; and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, in Toronto, Ontario with his law degree (LL.B). Currently, received his Masters of Laws at the London School of Economics., with distinction  . Currently, Mr. Patel is a PhD Candidate the University of London, Queen Mary wherein he is pursuing his research in criminal law (the risk of recidivism) and artificial intelligence within the fault of Electrical Eng. and Computer Science.  He has attended the Hague Academy of International Law during his academic training, in Den Haag, the Netherlands at the Peace Palace where he secured a certificate in advanced public and private international law. He also worked as a junior consultant for the United Nations Economic and Social Council- NGO section (ECOSOC), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York, and as a personal legal research assistant for the late Judge Sharron Williams at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the Netherlands. He has been called to the Bars of AlbertaBritish Colombia and Ontario.

In 2008, Mr. Patel relocated to Calgary, Alberta where he worked with Alberta Justice & the Attorney General as a Crown Prosecutor in the Criminal Driving Unit. As a Crown Prosecutor, he maintained carriage of a varying range of criminal prosecutions, including driving offences (such as impaired driving, dangerous driving causing death, hit and run etc), crimes of violence (such as robbery and aggravated assault) and complex property offences (such as theft and fraud).  He has successfully completed his training in the Intoxilyzer devices, and the RCMP Search Warrant Course at Royal Canadian Mounted Police “K” Division in Edmonton, Alberta.  Mr. J.S. Patel, has specialized knowledge in impaired driving cases.  He is considered to be an excellent advocate amongst his peers in the Criminal Bar in Alberta and zealously advocates for the Charter rights and defences for his client.   He is consider to be a formidable proponent for the rights of accused persons in DUI matters in Canada.

In addition to conducting cases while employed with the prosecution service, Mr. Patel had opportunity teach classes at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T) on behalf of a senior prosecutor. He also co-lectured classes at the University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Law in the field of Immigration Enforcement.

Mr. Patel is currently an active member of the Law Society of Alberta and Ontario who focuses in Criminal and Immigration Enforcement Defence. Under the Inter-Provincial mobility agreement, Mr. Patel is permitted to practice in various jurisdictions throughout Canada on an interim basis.

Mr. Patel recently secured a Masters of Law at the London School of Economics in December 2017; and is currently a Part-Time PhD Student at University of London, Queen Mary.
